TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF!
I started working at 2550 Engineering early in 2021 and my current role is as an AI Engineer.
Being an AI Engineer I get to explore AI solutions from different angles, all depending on the client’s challenges and needs. A lot of it involves programming in Python, with mathematical models as the foundation of it all. Even before the mathematical models are put in place I still need to work with the client to get an understanding of the core that is to be the solution.
Projects can range from creating a solution based on already existing data to being part of the process that defines what data is needed and how it’s going to be collected for AI analysis and visualization.
WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU’VE WORKED ON AT 2550 ENGINEERING?
We had a client that asked for a solution involving taking pictures of their produced materials to determine certain key performance indicators (KPI). In turn those KPIs would evaluate the final quality of the product. This is a process that would normally take several hours but with our solution we managed to streamline that process significantly.
I was tasked with creating an AI model that was to learn and train in identifying the quality of the cell structure in the materials. Being able to build the AI and then see it in action was simply put; really cool.
THE BEST THING ABOUT WORKING AT 2550 ENGINEERING?
You quickly get increased confidence from 2550 if you show that you’re up to the task and can deliver solutions to complex problems. They aren’t afraid to challenge you and are quick to recognize the hard work you put into your tasks. Likewise, if you present a good idea it will be judged on its results first and foremost.
In short, if you do great things they see and acknowledge it in a way that I really appreciate.
